time for tea and cake
This madly inspiring styled shoot was dreamed up in a collaborative effort with Kendra Wood of She Maven Events. She had asked me to create some florals for her booth at a wedding show that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We still wanted to use the flowers for something fun and creative so we said "hey, let's do a styled shoot!" It was a fun little creative exercise before we were all ordered to stay at home and protect our community. Our amazing photographers captured so many incredible angles and views of our creation. The inspiration behind these scenes was the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. We didn't want to go the darkly weird and whimsical approach, we wanted to put a fresh, lively, spring spin on it. So we used my mother's antique majolica pieces paired with brightly colors spring blooms, whimsical linens in a variety of textures and colors and plenty of delicious desserts and put together these fun little table-scapes. I hope you enjoy our take on a Mad Hatter's Tea Party!
