an aisle of Roses
Elaine and Brian's July wedding gave the quintessential summer vibes. They wanted the feel of the Italian countryside and we brought it all to Northern Michigan against a backdrop of stretching vineyards in the rolling hills of the Leelanau Peninsula. Citrus galore, a palette of oranges, yellows and peaches balanced by whites, terra cotta pots, olive branches and woven baskets...and the show stopping aisle of 500+ roses...
The glorious aisle was framed by clusters of baskets, leading up to a half moon cluster of baskets and rustic pots filled with bouncy blooms. The tables stretched out in rows of wispy compotes, bud vases, pin frog arrangements, taper candles and lamps.
The head table and guest tables got large clear vases of repurposed white roses from the aisle that we quickly cut down to shape and plopped (gently) into the vases after the ceremony. The sips station and tent entrance were also decorated with baskets of flowers and citrus. The cocktail tables had little pin frog arrangements of wispy standing blooms and cut citrus. The altar backdrop baskets and pots were repurposed throughout the tent and bar area. All the guest areas were touched by flowers and citrus, event the guest entrance into the tent was adorned with wispy vines and set to the ground with overflowing baskets of flowers and citrus. Looking at these photos, I hope you can feel the sun on your back, the breeze blowing through the air with the scent of all those glorious florals and hints of citrus undertones. Grazi!!
